  • Continuously check and audit work as it is prepared throughout the whole commission.
  • Actively discuss any problems that are encountered, engendering a team spirit amongst staff, leading to strong teamwork which produces good results.
  • Seeking approvals from Client at each stage or as required.

 Our experience in offering cost and project management services within the warehousing and storage sector in Botswana ranks among the top given some of the flagship developments we have been privileged to both lead and be a part of. The projects were delivered with a good measure of success. Lessons learnt are still fresh for implementation in this project if our proposal is accepted to build on past successes.

The following Tools will be used to deliver the project management successfully

Primavera” is a Programming tool assisting the planning exercises and scheduling the acti activities with cost, which ease updating each task with actual progress.

Aconex” is a Document control system which includes BIM (Building Information Model) control Change management as well as Quality Assurance with record and photographic evidence.

RISK MANAGEMENT

This has become a significant aspect of managing development projects. In summary, the process is as follows:-

  • At the outset a risk assessment workshop is held to identify the risks, assess their likelihood, establish the consequences, and find means of eliminating or reducing the risks, and them managing what is left.
  • A Risk Register is compiled from the above.
  • Risk review meetings are held regularly, usually quarterly, and the register is updated, new risks are also added and obsolete risks are removed
  • Both the Primavera and Aconex software suites contain modules that facilitate the above processes and, with the dashboard facilities, allow for ongoing management and control.
  • It must be stated that the above two powerful tools significantly improve communication and control, and this goes a long way towards reducing risk.

K&D has also provided consulting services in Project & Maintenance management contract since 2013, Botswana Development Corporation, Western Industrial Estate, Botswana Savings Bank, Debswana Maintenance Data Base Manuals in 2014, Botswana Power Corporation – Morupule A Power Plant and other ancillary Buildings and Rainbow Primary Schools as we are the current Facilities Manager on behalf Aleyo Capital, BIUST, BSB etc.
